The Highground’s annual Fall Bake Sale, held on October 3, raised $608 to support ongoing museum exhibit funding.

The community-driven event brought together local supporters who donated and purchased an assortment of homemade baked goods to help preserve and share the stories of Wisconsin veterans.  All funds raised will go toward maintaining and expanding The Highground’s museum exhibits.

“We are incredibly thankful for the support from our community,” said Event Coordinator Amber Smith. “Every contribution, whether baking a treat or making a purchase, directly impacts our ability to keep these important veteran stories alive for future generations.”

The Highground extends its heartfelt gratitude to the community members and organizations whose generosity fueled the success of the bake sale. Special thanks are due to dedicated volunteer baker Sue Budik, Linda Berg, Patty Schwoch, and Julie Siemek, as well as the VFW Auxiliary Unit 8478.

The organization also gratefully acknowledges the many anonymous donors who contributed baked goods, and The Nickel Coffee Barn for generously providing coffee for the event.

The success of the Fall Bake Sale relies entirely on the collective effort of volunteers, bakers, and patrons. The Highground thanks everyone who participated and continues to support its ongoing mission.
