By Riley Hebert Oct 15, 2026 | 12:00 PM

Help find loving homes, for loving pets – this is the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter Pet of The Week on WDLB 1450 AM and 98.7 FM brought to you by South Car Wash and Pet Wash.

South Car Wash and Pet Wash – pamper your pet and your car with a visit to South Car Wash and Pet Wash 1508 S. Central Marshfield. Violet is the Pet of the Week this week! She is 2-year-old American Blue Heeler Mix and she is spayed.

She had this to say about herself: “Hi, I’m Violet, a medium sized, two year old girl who was born deaf. But don’t let my hearing loss fool you because I don’t miss a beat! I’m proof that love, smarts, and joy are felt with the heart, not just heard with the ears.”

“I’m a sweet, social, and incredibly bright gal who adores everyone I meet. I’m a total superstar with people and I get along with other dogs, cats, and kids!”

“Because I’m deaf, I rely on visual cues, gentle touch, and my keen intellect to communicate, making me an amazingly attentive and fast learner. I’m always eager to master hand signals and bond deeply with my human guide.”

“True to my Heeler roots, I’m a high-energy pup who loves to stay active, play, and burn off my enthusiasm, but I also enjoy couch snuggles. Whether I’m playing fetch, going on adventures, or learning new games, I bring pure happiness to everything I do.”

“If you’re looking for a fun, intelligent, and affectionate companion to show you just how resilient and loving a rescue dog can be, I’m waiting to steal your heart! Apply to meet me!”

Her adoption fee has been waived. They do not have open hours for public viewing of their adoptable animals. They are by appointment only. If interested in adopting, please complete their adoption application. Once your application is approved, an appointment will be scheduled to visit with your desired pet.

ONLINE APPLICATION can be found at: www.marshfieldpetshelter.org/adoption-application. All animals are vet examined, spayed/neutered, blood tested and microchipped. If old enough, they receive routine vaccinations.
