The Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield is excited to take a significant next step in expanding opportunities for local youth.
For the 2026-2027 school year, the Club will operate an afterschool program at Marshfield Middle School, serving students in grades 7 and 8.
As children get older, opportunities to participate in structured afterschool activities become increasingly limited, especially for students who are not involved in school athletics.
Many tweens and teens are left without a safe, supportive place to go after school, creating a gap in services during a critical stage of development.
By bringing Boys & Girls Club programming to Marshfield Middle School, we are helping fill that gap with access to academic support, mentorship, leadership development, healthy lifestyles programming, and meaningful connections with caring adults and peers.
This expansion is also an important step in the Club’s long-term strategy to serve more middle and high school youth. Introducing Club programming to students now allows us to build relationships, establish routines, and create a strong culture of engagement among local teens.
As we look ahead to the opening of our new stand-alone Club facility and dedicated Teen Center, we will be well-positioned to provide a vibrant, welcoming space that older youth already know, trust, and are excited to be part of from day one.
By investing in middle school students today, we are laying the foundation for a stronger Teen Center tomorrow while ensuring more Marshfield youth have access to positive, enriching opportunities after school.
