Marshfield Area Pet Shelter in Need of Donations After 20 Cats Abandoned in Their Entryway

The Marshfield Area Pet Shelter is asking for donations after twenty cats were abandoned in their entryway.

According to MAPS, Monday night, 20 cats, including a mama and her 4 newborn babies, were abandoned in their entryway. They were left in the dark for over 10 hours, sitting in their own waste, terrified and confused.

The person who did this waited until 15 minutes after MAPS closed, covering their face and license plates to avoid getting caught. They never called; they never asked for help. They just dumped them and drove away. This isn’t “doing the best they could.” It is animal abuse, plain and simple.

The unplanned intake of 20 more animals jeopardizes MAPS’ daily operations, breaks their hearts, and drains their resources. They are now caring for more than 70 animals total and staff is working tirelessly to pick up the extra load.

They urgently need additional funds to spay/neuter, vaccinate, and microchip these sweet souls. If you can help cover the cost of their care, please consider donating. Every single dollar helps MAPS pick up the pieces of this heartbreaking situation.
