Scott Gray obituary, Wisconsin Rapids, WI

Scott Allen Gray, age 55, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather, passed away on October 7, 2024.
Scott was born on March 11, 1969 in West Allis, WI to Virgil and Mary (Brost) Gray. He graduated from Nekoosa High School and furthered his education earning a degree in Diesel Mechanics from Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids.
Scott worked as a mechanic for several local businesses before fulfilling his dream of owning and operating his own automotive repair business, Gray’s Service in Wisconsin Rapids.
Scott was united in marriage to Leslie Wilson on February 12, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
Scott lived an extraordinary life filled with love, laughter, and a passion for life’s simple pleasures. Known for his jovial spirit and unparalleled craftsmanship, Scott’s legacy reaches far beyond his 55 years. His infectious laughter and the spark in his eyes when he spoke about his hobbies are memories that his family and friends will forever cherish.
Scott was a master auto mechanic by trade and a jack of all trades at heart. His gifted hands could fix or construct anything, from the simplest of machines to the house and cabin he built with love and meticulous precision. He found joy in the great outdoors, whether he was hunting, boating, camping, or riding his motorcycle. His love for nature was only surpassed by his love for his family. In the colder months, Scott enjoyed wintering and Jeeping in Mississippi, and splitting and cutting wood, his hard work bringing warmth to others. His humor and warm-heartedness made him the soul of every family gathering. His grandchildren, who fondly referred to him as “Papa Scott,” will forever remember his wide grin and hearty laughter.
Scott is survived by his loving wife Leslie; mother, Mary (James) Mason; children: Michelle (Ryan) Antinoja, Zach (Amy) Gray, Joseph Wilson, and stepson Tyler Leach; grandchildren: Thorston, Sol, Clara, Evan, and Makenzie; brother, Travis Gray; sister, Stephanie (Tim) Engelien; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Gray; sister, Stacie Lundquist; and stepson, Thomas Leach.
