Several Outdoor Recreation Trails Opening in Marathon County this Weekend

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) Several outdoor recreation trails will open this Friday in Marathon County, according to Mike Leischner with WSAU.

According to a news release from the County, that list includes the following areas: Burma Forest ATV/UTV trails, Nine Mile County Forest mountain bike and horse trails, Kronenwetter and Leather Camp County Forest horse trails, and Big Eau Pleine County Park mountain bike and horse trails.

Trails in the Burma Forest will be open from 6 AM to 10 PM daily through the end of September. Users are reminded that motorcycles and dirt bikes are not allowed in that area.

Nine Mile Forest trails will be open through the end of the spring turkey season on May 28th. Riders in all parks are also encouraged to wear blaze orange while on the trails.
