On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, the Wood County Dispatch Center received a report of a house explosion at 7840 Pinehaven Court in the Township of Saratoga.
Law Enforcement and Fire Department Units were dispatched to the scene and determined the residence was fully engulfed. The home owner was contacted and it was confirmed no one was inside the residence at the time of the fire. Fire Department personnel were successful in extinguishing the fire. This matter remains under investigation.
Agencies assisting were Nekoosa Fire Department, Grand Rapids Fire Department, Port Edwards Fire Department, Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department, Saratoga First Responders, Rome Fire Department, Grand Rapids Police Department, Nekoosa Police Department and Wisconsin Rapids Police Department.
