Christine M. Cliver

Christine M. Cliver, age 83, of Marshfield, WI, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, at The Serenity Living Facility in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, in Marshfield, Wisconsin from 9-11 am, followed by a service at 11 am. Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate.

Chris was born on February 9, 1941, in Viroqua, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Carsten and Doris (Larson) Lovstad. Chris graduated from Marshfield Senior High School, in 1959. On February 23, 1963, she was united in marriage to William J. Cliver at Corpus Christi in Bakerville, Wisconsin. Together, they raised their six children in Bakerville. She worked several jobs throughout her career, including Figi’s, UW Marshfield and Hair Technicians.

Chris was so proud of her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy came from being with family and friends. She always had an open door for all her kid’s friends, often having the title of “Mom” by many of them. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time at their cabin. She was also an avid Packers and Badgers fan. And had an amazing artistic talent.

Chris is lovingly survived by her husband William Cliver, their children Tom (Lisa) Cliver, Jackie (Keith) Weinfurter, Sandy (Shawn) Schultz, Lisa (Reggie) Kauffman, Barb (Tony) Delpho, and Brian (Karen) Cliver. Brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken (Karen) Lovstad, Rick (Ruth) Lovstad and Judy Lovstad; sister and brother-in-law, Sonja (Burl) Dahl. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Josh Weinfurter, Chas Weinfurter, Tyler Weis, Alex Field, Cassandra Larson, Joe Cliver, Mckenzie Larson, Emily Cliver, Maddie Schultz, Keagan Cliver, and Jesse Cliver. Also, her great-granddaughter Carmen Balderas.

Chris is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Karl Lovstad and brother-in-law, Ronnie Selk.

Chris will be dearly missed by the many people whose lives she touched.

The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the nurse, Miranda, and the rest of the team at Heartland Hospice for their great care at Serenity.
