DENNIS D. HEBERT, age 61, of Greenwood, WI, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.  Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, WI.  Rev. Elizabeth Bier will officiate, and burial will follow in the Town of Beaver Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9am until time of service.  A Celebration of Life to honor Dennis will be held at Shoe’s Place, in Willard, WI, at a later date.
Dennis Dale Hebert was born on April 6, 1965 in Neillsville, WI, to Richard D. and Mary A. (Hammond) Hebert.  He was raised on the family farm in the Town of Beaver and received his education at Loyal Public Schools, graduating from Loyal High School in 1983.  After completing his education, Dennis worked as a farmhand for Brett Barlow.  He was united in marriage to Patricia Dawn Soltow on May 3, 1986 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Riplinger, WI.  They had three children that they raised in the Riplinger area.  They later divorced.  After his marriage, Dennis worked at Meyer Manufacturing in Dorchester, WI for a few years, and then was employed at Blue Moon Cheese in Thorp, WI from 1990 until its closing in 2000.  He went to work at Mullins Cheese for a few years, before becoming employed with Wausau Windows in Stratford, WI, where he was a supervisor for 21 years until retiring in February 2026 due to his health.  Dennis worked hard all of his life to provide for his children, who will greatly miss him!
He had many interests, but especially loved his annual hunting and fishing trips with the Hebert family, spending time with his grandsons, playing cards, hanging out at Shoe’s Place in Willard and Rip’s Bar in Riplinger, was the master of one-liners, and was known to pull a prank or two.
Dennis is survived by his children: Wade (Lynsey) Hebert of Greenwood, WI, Ash Hebert of Austin, TX, and Samantha Hebert (fiancé Grant Van Grinsven) of Appleton, WI; two grandsons: Kaleb and Landon Hebert; his siblings: Dan (Deb) Hebert of Loyal, WI, Robert Hebert of Marshfield, WI, Steve (Stephanie) Neustedt of Riplinger, WI, Michelle (Mitch) Mertins of Greenwood, WI, and Wesley (Britney) Hebert of Stetsonville, WI; his uncle: Duane “Dewey” Hebert of Loyal, WI; his step-mother, Wendy Hebert, of Hudson, WI; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dennis’ family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice for the care and comfort they provided him, and the Greenwood and Clark County first responders for their caring dedication to the family and community of Greenwood and Clark County.
