Foxy is the Pet of the Week this week! She is a one-year-old mixed breed and she is spayed. She had this to say about herself: “Hi, I’m Foxy, a beautiful young gal who was rescued from a not-so-great situation.”
“While my past is a bit of a mystery, the amazing people here are helping me build my confidence, and I’ve come so far! I’m a naturally sweet soul, and I absolutely love other dogs.”
“I get the zoomies and my tail wags with excitement whenever I greet a fellow canine. While it takes me a little time to warm up to new people, once I know you’re safe, it doesn’t take me long to crawl right into your lap for hugs and pets!”
“I’m also great on a leash and love going for good walks. At a perfect 25 pounds, I would thrive best in a quieter home with older kids and a confident dog friend to help me continue to gain my footing.”
“If you’re willing to offer a little time and patience for me to build my confidence, I promise to be a wonderful, loving companion for your family and your current pup because I have a whole lot of love to give! Apply to meet me today and let’s get to know each other!”
NOTE: every dog, cat and child will react differently to a new pet, so proper and safe introductions are always important for a smooth and successful transition. Adoption fee is $225.
They do not have open hours for public viewing of their adoptable animals. They are by appointment only. If interested in adopting, please complete their adoption application. Once your application is approved, an appointment will be scheduled to visit with your desired pet.
ONLINE APPLICATION can be found at: www.marshfieldpetshelter.org/adoption-application. All animals are vet examined, spayed/neutered, blood tested and microchipped. If old enough, they receive routine vaccinations.
