Electrophysiology Team at Marshfield Medical Center Completes 500th Pulsed Field Ablation Case

Congratulations to the electrophysiology team at Marshfield Medical Center.

It recently completed its 500th pulsed field ablation case. Pulsed field ablation is a cutting edge, minimally invasive procedure to treat abnormal heart rhythms, including atrial fibrillation. It uses short bursts of electrical energy to destroy tiny areas of heart tissue that are causing irregular heartbeats, offering a safe, targeted approach to ablation. This procedure is performed at Marshfield Medical Center – Marshfield and Marshfield Medical Center – Weston.

“500 cases reflect the continued growth and excellent outcomes of our electrophysiology program,” said Dr. Weijia Wang, Marshfield Clinic electrophysiologist. “This is a wonderful milestone,” said Chief Physician Dr. Samantha Klebe. “We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated team providing this exceptional care to our communities.”
