Congratulations to Lt. Luis Lopes-Serrao on reaching his 25th year of law enforcement service.
Lt. Lopes-Serrao started his career in 2001 in Pepin County before joining Kronenwetter PD in 2005 and then Wausau PD in 2015. Through his time with us he has served as a K-9 handler, Field Training Officer, advisor for our Explorer Post and member of our Community Communications Team. He was promoted to Patrol Lieutenant in 2019.
The Wausau Police Department issues a service stripe to officers for every 5 years they serve in law enforcement. It’s a symbol of pride and longevity each officer can wear on their long-sleeve uniform shirt.
