Applications are now open for Main Street Marshfield’s Welcome Back Grant Program.

With the hustle and bustle of Central Avenue, many businesses in Downtown Marshfield have customers and employees park and enter through the back of their building. Investment in back entrances can help customers feel safe, invited, and welcome when visiting Downtown Marshfield businesses.

Examples of previous projects covered under this grant include better lighting, improved signage, mural projects, and seating areas. In 2026, $8,000 has been designated for the Welcome Back Grant Program, allowing for grants of up to $4,000 per project. The 2026 grant cycle requires a 50/50 match, meaning that if you are awarded $4,000, your total project cost must be at least $8,000, with $4,000 being the applicant’s financial responsibility.

Applicants should discuss projects with Main Street Marshfield Wisconsin Executive Director Carter Howe (executivedirector@mainstreetmarshfiled.com) before submitting an application in order to increase likelihood of receiving an award.

Applications are due on Friday, April 3rd, 2026. (https://mainstreetmarshfield.com/resources/grant-loan-programs.php)
