Man Accused of Killing His Father Last Week Being Held on $1 Million Bond

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) The man accused of killing his father last week is being held on a $1 million bond.

According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, police confirmed that Randall Harris Jr remains in the Wood County jail awaiting formal charges in the death of his father, Randall Harris Sr. The 56-year-old died from multiple gunshot and stab wounds, according to an autopsy completed earlier this week.

Harris Jr, 34, was quickly identified as a suspect and taken into custody without incident. Police Chief Daniel Hostens commented on the incident, saying: “This case represents a devastating act of violence within a family, and our hearts go out to those affected by this tragedy.”

“Our department remains committed to conducting a thorough and professional investigation to ensure justice is served.” No further details about the incident have been released, and officers indicate there is no danger to the public.

The investigation remains active.
