After a combined 57 years of dedicated service to the Marathon County Jail, the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department proudly recognize and celebrate the retirement of Mike and Cheryl Kuehn, a remarkable husband and wife team who have left an unforgettable mark on the facility and the many lives they’ve touched.
Mike served with honor for 27 years and Cheryl for an incredible 30 years as Corrections Officers. Together, they brought not only experience and professionalism to their roles but also a contagious positivity that made each shift a little brighter.
Both Mike and Cheryl were instrumental in training countless staff, sharing their vast knowledge, steady guidance, and just the right amount of humor to mentor the next generation of Corrections Officers. Their contributions helped shape the strong team we have today.
While the Department will miss seeing them every day, they are so grateful for the legacy they leave behind. Thank you, Mike and Cheryl, for your years of commitment, compassion, and camaraderie. Enjoy every moment of your well-earned retirement.
