City of Marshfield Plants 140 New Trees for Arbor Day

On April 17th, the City of Marshfield proudly celebrated Arbor Day by planting 140 new trees in the northeast corner of Braem Park.

This meaningful effort brought together enthusiastic students from Grant Elementary, the Mayor of Marshfield, City staff, and the hardworking team from the Marshfield Parks and Recreation. Last year, the Parks Department completed the removal of ash trees impacted by the emerald ash borer.

This year, they’ve led the charge in planting a diverse mix of non-ash species, helping to foster a vibrant, resilient, and healthy urban forest for the future.
