John “Jack” Dahlke

John “Jack” Dahlke, age 77, of Stratford, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in the comfort of his own home.

Jack was born on April 23, 1947, in Marshfield, the son of the late John and Emma (Lingel) Dahlke. He attended Edgar High School. After graduating, he enlisted in the Army from 1966 to 1968 and served in Vietnam. On August 22, 1970, he married Jane Belanger.

Prior to his retirement, Jack worked as a millwright, the majority of his time with Boldt Construction. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, making firewood, and teasing his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Jane and four children, Jeff, Tim (Michelle), Kori (Wally) and Russ (Cheryl); 13 grandchildren: Isabel “Izzy”, Amelia “Mia”, Nick “Snickers” Ashley “Bugster”, Kaitlyn, Dalten “Fritz”, Jaden “Roi”, Lily “Miss A”, Ronan “Frisco”, Emma “Baby Kitty”, Nicole, Brianna, Jake “Jingles”, and Jackson “See and Do”; and two great grandchildren: Talia and Ayla “Lala”. He is further survived by two sisters: his twin Janice (Andy) and Diane; two brothers: Jim and Don, brother-in-law Roger (Kathy); and sister-in-law Carol (DuWayne).

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Jerry and Patty, brothers-in-law Richard and Denny; father-in-law Elmer and mother-in-law Elsie.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home, 211910 State Highway 97, Stratford. A private burial will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please take a day off of work and spend it with your family.

Jack’s family would like to give special thanks to Compassus, especially Kylah, Cassie, and Jeremy.
