Julie A. Haas, 71, of Marshfield died peacefully Thursday, October 16th at the Marshfield Medical Center in the presence of her family.
A Funeral Service for Julie will be held 10am Wednesday, October 22 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor Katie Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Riplinger. The family invites relatives and friends to the church for visitation from 8:30am until time of service.
Julie was born April 25, 1954 in Menominee to Charles and Ruth (Anderson) Peterson. The first of 15 children born to that couple. She married the late Jay Block in 1976, together they brought two daughters Jayna & Jacqueline into the world. She later married Ronald Haas November 4, 1995 in Dorchester.
Julie was gifted in arts and crafts. She enjoyed creating cards, cake decorating, and took much pleasure in quilting. She loved to travel, she had an eye for antiques and enjoyed staying at old Victorian Bed & Breakfasts. Julie enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, music, and nature. Above all she treasured her family.
She is lovingly survived by her husband Ron, her father Charles, and her daughters Jacqueline (Robin) Block of Mosinee and Jayna Block of Appleton. She is further survived by her siblings: Deb (the late Lance) Dahl, Mike (Bev) Peterson, Larry (Carol) Peterson, Pat (Roger) Hamus, Cindy (Russel) Hamus, David (Leta) Peterson, Dale (Chris) Peterson, Darla Peterson, Kevin (Stacey) Peterson, Kenny (Amy) Peterson, Jamie (Nikki) Peterson, and Chucky (Carrie) Peterson.
Julie is preceded in death by her mother Ruth and two siblings: Mark (Aud) Peterson and Char (George) Velon.
