A local business’ product is still in the running for The Coolest Things Made in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce (WMC) and Johnson Financial Group opened voting for the 10th Annual Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest on Monday morning. Since its inception in 2016, the contest has garnered more than 1.5 million votes from Wisconsinites, highlighting the manufacturing industry’s economic output, career opportunities and innovative products.

Granton’s The Maple Dude’s Maple Shot 10-pack of 1-ounce maple syrup shots came in at No. 7. The portable packets produced in Granton are meant to provide an energy boost during endurance workouts. In the first round, they’re facing off against EK Machine’s massive generator enclosures.

Manufacturers, employees, and consumers alike are welcome to participate in the voting. Votes can be cast once per day, per email at www.madeinwis.com. The top 16 products are currently competing in “Manufacturing Madness,” a bracket-style tournament ultimately culminating with one champion.

Voting opens today and closes at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7. The public can vote once per day per email address. The top eight will be announced on Oct. 8. The 2025 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin will be crowned at WMC’s Business Day event in Madison on Oct. 23.
