(HCT Staff, Hub City Times) The Marshfield School District recently provided an update on the facility renovation project at Grant Elementary School.

According to Hub City Times staff, “Design work for the projects at Grant School was completed in June 2025, followed by the bid phase from mid-July to mid-August 2025. The bid phase involved selecting contractors who will bring the design plans to life,” the district release stated.

“Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2025 and will continue through August 2026. During this time, Grant School will undergo significant upgrades to building infrastructure and student spaces.”

“These improvements will help foster more engaging, collaborative and student-centered learning environments. A key feature of the renovation is the construction of a new main office located at the front of the building. This redesign will provide a more secure point of entry to help ensure a safe and welcoming arrival experience for students, families and visitors.”

“The new main office and entrance will support improved visitor screening and better access control procedures, aligning with best practices for school safety. Throughout the construction, district staff will work closely with the project management team at Nexus Solutions to minimize disruptions.”

“Regular updates will be provided as the project progresses to keep families informed,” the release added. “This renovation is a critical step in our continued commitment to providing a safe, inspiring and future-ready learning environment.”

“The Marshfield High School project is currently in the design phase, as details are being worked out on the CTE addition and support spaces, pool viewing and wrestling addition, as well as updated commons/ cafeteria and the secure front office addition.”
