(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A Central Wisconsin man accused of pointing a gun at a woman in Marathon Park will serve prison time.

According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Todd Tucker pleaded no contest to a set of felony counts, including two charges of recklessly endangering safety and one for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was then found guilty and sentenced to ten years in prison and five years on extended supervision.

The 26-year-old had been facing a felony count for attempted homicide. The case had been scheduled for trial this month, but the sides were able to reach a plea deal last week. Part of the deal involved amending the attempted homicide count down to recklessly endangering safety.

Charges date back to October 2023. According to the victim, she had arranged to meet someone in Marathon Park to conduct a Facebook marketplace transaction. Instead, she was confronted by a group, including Tucker, who pointed a gun at her.

The victim was able to flee the park and called the police from a nearby location. She was not harmed in the incident, though some in the group were threatening to beat her. Tucker’s sentence includes a full no-contact order with four people, identified only by their initials.

He will also pay court costs and submit a DNA sample. Defendants have been given 60 days to request restitution. He was given credit for 177 days already served.
