Wausau Woman Appears in Court for Operating While Intoxicated with Children in the Car

(Brad Miller, WAOW) A Wausau woman arrested for her seventh operating while intoxicated offense appeared in Sauk County Court on Thursday.

According to Brad Miller with WAOW, Tyquaniesha Bell, 28, was taken into custody by the Wisconsin State Patrol DeForest Post on May 29, 2025 in the early morning hours. According to a release from the State Patrol, Bell was driving a maroon SUV with two children under 16 when she was stopped on Interstate 90/94 at milepost 92 – in Sauk County near Wisconsin Dells.

The Wisconsin State Patrol received a complaint about the vehicle’s inability to maintain its lane or speed. Upon stopping the vehicle, a Trooper noticed signs of impairment and arrested Bell. Bell is facing charges of 4th OWI with children under 16, operating while revoked, and ignition interlock device tampering/failure to install/violate court order.

During her arraignment on Thursday of last week, she entered a not guilty plea to the charges against her.
