Nola J. Lee, age 77, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, passed away on July 20, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer.
A funeral and celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Faith Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Visitation will take place prior to the service, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the church.
Nola was born on July 30, 1947, in Marshfield, to Harry and Bernice (Vanderhoof) Krueger. She graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1965 and earned her nursing degree from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1968. On December 12, 1970, she married Sheldon Lee.
She loved her job in nursing spending the greatest portion of her career at Flambeau Medical Center in Park Falls, Wisconsin, and at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. She was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church and of the Associated Flyers in Park Falls, Wisconsin.
Nola loved traveling with family and friends, and she had a generous heart for service. Over the years, she volunteered her time to many causes, most recently with Soup or Socks in Marshfield, and the Dorothy Day House in Rochester, Minnesota.
She is survived by her son, Joel (Amanda) Lee of Madison, WI; her foreign exchange daughter, Julia Kern-Stoll of Germany; her sisters, Sandra (David) Aldrich and Dixie (John) Karl, both of Marshfield; her beloved cat, Bella; many nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of dear friends who became like family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Bernice; her husband, Sheldon; her daughter, Michele; and her sister, Donna Immerfall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, the American Cancer Society, or Soup or Socks in Marshfield.
