Sandra S. Bey, age 87, of Nekoosa, WI passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa, WI. Rev. John Swing will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial rites will be held following the funeral mass at Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa, WI.
Sandra was born on June 10, 1938 in Oshkosh, WI to the late Wesley Snyder and Charlotte (Erdman) O’Day. She married Donald Bey on October 19, 1957 in Wisconsin Rapids. In Sandra’s younger years, she enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling, knitting, sewing, being a lifeguard, and spending time at the cottage on Soo Lake in Phillips, WI. While working as a cosmetologist, Sandra went back to school at Mid-State Technical College and was a member of the first graduating class of the cosmetology program. She was the first member of her graduating class to earn her Manager’s License in Cosmetology, which she used as the owner of “The Technique” Salon. While working at the salon, Sandra taught cosmetology classes at Mid-State Technical College, and was a member of the Wisconsin Small Business Committee in Madison, WI for Governor Tommy Thompson. In retirement, Sandra worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional for the Nekoosa School District.
Sandra is survived by her children, Cynthia (Michael) Milkey, Thomas (Patricia) Bey, and Dana (Dean) Romanowski; grandchildren, Isaac (Jessica) Milkey, Samuel Milkey, Abby Bey, Tyler (Alexa) Bey, Alyssa (Eric) Deprey, and Emily Kohlman; great-grandchildren, Gianna and Cecilia Milkey, Kaiden Greeneway, Harper and Avery Bey, Owen and Levi Deprey, and Gracelyn and Everleigh Jaklich; siblings, Ken (Pat) Snyder, Tim Snyder, Echo (Robert “Butch”) Keller, and Kriss Lopez; as well as special friends, Ed and Mickie Maier.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bey; parents, Wesley (Dorlese) Snyder and Charlotte O’Day; and siblings, Linda Dalhman, Dawn Forbes, Jim Snyder, and David O’Day.
Sandra’s family would like to thank the entire staff at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, especially Sam Hanley, for their kindness and care of Sandra and the entire family.
