(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A 33-year-old man is dead after he jumped into the water and didn’t resurface near Lisa’s Landing Boat Launch in the Town of Green Valley in Marathon County.
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, witnesses said the man jumped into the water at about 5:15 Thursday evening and didn’t resurface. First responders, including a Marathon County dive team and fire departments from Mosinee and Stratford, responded.
Crews found the body after searching for about two hours. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Marathon County Medical Examiner’s office. No further information, including the man’s name, was released. A portion of County Road S was closed while crews worked.
