– It is with enormous sadness and grief that we announce the passing of Cathy M. (Rocco) Rattle of Wisconsin Rapids, on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the age of 46. Cathy, known affectionately as “Cat” to family and friends, was born on June 27, 1979, in Stevens Point, to Joseph and Cathy (Michalsen) Rocco.
When Cat met Jeremy Rattle, their mutual love was undeniable; they were destined to be together, “inseparable soulmates.” Cat and Jeremy were married in May 2004, and welcomed their only son, Trent, in December 2005.
Cat was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and love and devotion to her family. If ever there was someone who could light up a room with a smile, it was Cat. Her generous heart and kind soul defined her as a person.
Cathy was a 1998 graduate of Stevens Point Area High School. She continued her education and received an associate degree from Mid-State Technical College. Cat worked as a customer service representative at area retail stores, and most recently as a cashier at Metro Market in Plover.
Including her husband, Jeremy, son, Trent, and parents, Joe and Cathy, Cat is survived by a brother, Joe J. Rocco; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Patricia Rattle; two brothers-in-law, Michael (Marie) Rattle and Jared Rattle; her sister-in-law, Christina Rattle; many beloved aunts and uncles; three nieces and two nephews; and numerous cousins including special cousins, Anne Patoka and Michelle Cornell.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the UW Health University Hospital, Aspirus Hospital-Stevens Point and the House of the Dove staff for their unwavering care and support. A sincere thank you to Mr. Cory Schilling, owner of Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield, for his professionalism, compassion and care in arranging Cat’s service. Your support made a difficult time more bearable.
A celebration of Cat’s life will take place on Saturday, July 12, beginning at 2 p.m., at their home, 9110 Lake Road, Wisconsin Rapids.
