(Hub City Times) Marshfield’s Angela Faber has been selected as one of the 64 artists to compete in this year’s Art64 event in Wauwatosa, held June 6–7.

According to the Hub City Times, Faber was selected among 400 artists across 10 Midwest states to participate in the bracket-style live painting tournament. ART 64 is hosted by Discover Wauwatosa.

Wauwatosa is located immediately west of Milwaukee and is a part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. “For the last three years, ART 64 has taken over the village of Wauwatosa streets and has become a must-attend event for artists and spectators alike.

In a head-to-head, bracket-style painting tournament, 64 artists paint live over the course of two days. Each round will be the theme/subject of each artist’s choice. Each artist is given a set period of time to paint a work of art – 60 minutes in round 1, 75 minutes in round 2, and 90 minutes in round 3 (the final round),” an event release stated.

“During each round of competition, spectators both in-person and virtually are encouraged to watch artists showcase their talents and vote for their favorites to advance to the next round. “All participating artists are incentivized throughout the competition with the grand prize being $20,000.”

The winning painting will be displayed at the Wauwatosa City Hall. For more information, visit www.art64tosa.com.
