Gary Lee Weinfurtner passed away peacefully in Marshfield, Wisconsin, at his home on January 14, 2025, at the age of 77.

He was born on April 5, 1947, to Virginia and Alfred Weinfurtner in Marshfield, and had a long history in Marshfield, with work being his passion since he was 18 years old. One of Gary’s most notable jobs was greeting people at the Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital for 30 years. To him, he was always willing to work hard and help others when needed.

Outside of work, Gary would like to go grocery shopping, either talking to people or looking at the latest discounts. Besides shopping, Gary loved spending time with his two granddaughters, buying Elvis merchandise to ramble about, and always bringing a Diet Coke to cheer on.

Gary is survived by his children: Traci (Keith) Hagen, and BreAnn Weinfurtner; his grandkids: Tanner Weinfurtner, Dilli and Dalton Hagen, and Ameia and Cielo Xolio-Temich. He is also survived by one sibling, James Weinfurtner of Sheboygan. He is predeceased by his parents, Virginia and Alfred Weinfurtner; as well as his son, Mike “Turbo” Weinfurtner. He is further preceded in death by his former wife, Mary Fisher; and one brother, Ronnie Weinfurtner; and half-brother, Brian.

“-Rest in peace, Grandpa W in Heaven with your family and Elvis. We love you always.”

A Celebration of Life for Gary will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Wildwood Park Pavilion in Marshfield.
