Gregory J. Kujawa, age 70, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at home with his wife by his side.
Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at St. Lawerance Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Wausau. Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Tuesday.
Greg was born August 3,1954, in Wausau to Herman and Dorothy (Milbeck) Kujawa. He graduated from D.C. Everest High School in 1972. Greg was a graduate of U.W. Madison School of Pharmacy in 1977. He worked at Shopko Pharmacy until his retirement in 2014. His love for people was shown through his professional life, as he took immense pleasure in taking care of his customers, often going beyond the call of duty to ensure their well-being.
Greg married Noreen Ryan on December 31, 1998, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Rothschild, WI.
He was an avid sports fan and supported the Packers and Badgers whenever they played. Greg’s love for the outdoors was reflected in his passion for cycling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and hiking. His love continued with his passion for woodworking and gardening. Greg was also a devoted St. Lawrence Catholic Church member and loved singing in the church choir.
Above all else, Greg valued spending time with his wife and family. His compassionate nature extended beyond his family circle and touched everyone he met.
Greg is survived by his loving wife Noreen, sisters: Debra (Thomas) Bryne, Waukesha, WI, Jenifer (James) Tobalski, Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law Colleen Ryan, Weston, WI; nieces: Katelyn (Clay) Henderson, Charlotte, NC, Rachel (Eric) Johnson-Bryne, Chicago, IL; great-nephew Grant Henderson, Charlotte, NC and great-niece Molly Henderson, Charlotte, NC.
Greg is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dale Kujawa.
