Timothy J. Scherer, age 57, of Greenwood, passed away July 30th of 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 24th, 2024 at Funte’s Bar & Grill (215 S Main St.) in Greenwood. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s cemetery in Greenwood.
Tim was born August 30th, 1966, the son of Richard Scherer and Pat Scherer (Langreck) in Marshfield. He graduated from Greenwood High School in 1985. He attened UW River Falls following high school.
In his spare time, Tim enjoyed fishing, camp fires, and gardening. He especially enjoyed grilling out and spending time with friends and family. Those that knew Tim best will miss his mediocre dancing, his humor, and his love of the outdoors.
Tim is lovingly survived by his son, Jared Scherer of Marshfield, his girlfriend Cindy Zickert of Greenwood, Cindy’s children Nathan and Brandon Wortman, his mother Patricia Scherer of Marshfield, and his brothers: Dean and Michele Scherer (Teter) Terry and Cindy Scherer (Duval), Tom and Andrea Scherer (Briski), Dave and Becky Scherer (Rueth). He will be truly missed.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, Richard Scherer and his paternal grandparents, George Scherer and Carol Scherer, and maternal grandparents Ferd and Celia Langreck; as well as several cousins and a nephew.
