Yvonne M. Buetzberger, age 87, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, passed away on July 2, 2024, at Stoney River Assisted Living Center in Marshfield.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield. Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
She was born on May 21, 1937, in Wausau, Wisconsin, the daughter of Cecil and Daisy (Burke) Coel, and graduated from Wausau East High School in 1955. Yvonne achieved a three-year nursing degree from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Wausau. On June 25, 1960, she was united in marriage to John R. Buetzberger, of Park Falls, at St. James Catholic Church in Wausau. He preceded her in death.
Yvonne was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield as a PM Supervisor for 33 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and gladly helped anyone who was in need of care, physically or spiritually; and aided severely elderly neighbors in times of crisis. She was a former member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield.
Yvonne is survived by her two children, John R. Buetzberger Jr. (Dana Hoffmann) of Oregon, Wisconsin, and Lisa Kraemer (Kenneth), of Marshfield.
She had two sisters and one brother, Patricia Ovel (Raymond, deceased), Joseph Coel (deceased) (Donna), and Dolores Andres (deceased) (Robert, deceased). She is further survived by many extended family members, and very special friends and care givers.
The family also thanks Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.
