Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library Holding Chapters in Chalk Program this Saturday

By Riley Hebert Jul 1, 2024 | 10:00 AM

The Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library is full of stories on the inside, but this summer they are also bringing the stories outside.

On Saturday July 6, they invite you to come create artwork on their sidewalks inspired by your favorite books for their Chapters in Chalk program. On that day, come into the Library to sign up for a sidewalk square.

They will have over 50 squares available. Once you have signed up, they will provide you with sidewalk chalk to create whatever you wish on your square. They invite all ages and skill levels to participate in this program.

This is a drop in program which means you can drop in any time you’d like (for as long as you’d like) between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The Library also has a Storywalk that begins near the front entrance and follows the sidewalk along the building.

Picture books are posted page by page allowing you to follow the story as you walk along. The Storywalk book changes each month, allowing you to enjoy the experience again and again from May to October.

It’s going to be a great summer of stories both inside and outside of the Library. You can always check upcoming programs on their Facebook page and website, or stop by any service desk to pick up a monthly calendar.
