Thomas H. Ruppel obituary, Marshfield, WI

Thomas H. Ruppel, age 83, Marshfield and formerly of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at House of the Dove, Marshfield.
He was born on June 18, 1941, in Sheboygan, WI, to Henry and Ruth (Brummeyer) Ruppel.
Tom graduated in 1960 from Central High, Sheboygan, and continued his education taking classes related to his profession. He was employed for 40+ years at General Box Co. (later Wisconsin Box Co.), working his way up to General Manager.
Thos “Tommy” Ruppel what didn’t he build? He enjoyed being a woodworker and maker of many things, including the house his children grew up in. A Lover of laughter, pranks, coffee, country music, westerns, nature and all things family, he was forever the caretaker, always putting his children first. He was always sharing hilarious and heartfelt stories from his beloved Sheboygan childhood. He was very proud of his service as a member of the Marine Corps Reserve, completing it with an Honor Flight to Washington D.C. He was loved and cherished by family and friends and will be missed.
Unfortunately, we all have to leave this world someday, but Tom’s cherished woodworking projects will outlive us all.
He is survived by his children, Kristin (Bob) Morse of Cascade, WI, Amy Ruppel of Portland, OR, Chad (Rachelle) Ruppel of Oconomowoc, WI, and Brian (Xin) Ruppel of Marshfield, WI. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jacob (Courtney), Kelsey, and Connor Borth, Chloe and Sophia Ruppel, and Jack and Tyler Ruppel. He is further survived by a brother, James (Nancy) Ruppel, a sister-in-law, Ritsa Ruppel, and his co-worker, turned best friend, Bob “Van”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, special friend, Nancy Lawrence, a sister Nancy Debbink (Harry) and a brother, Ronnie Ruppel.
Thomas will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be designated in his name to the Marshfield Zoological Society.
