The Marshfield Police Department arrested a Granton man for attempting to steal from Walmart.
According to a report from the Department, on Wednesday, May 15th, around 8:13pm, a Walmart employee reported a 21-year-old Granton male had attempted to take a shopping cart full of merchandise totaling $2,105.94 from the store without paying for it and without permission to do so.
The man admitted to trying to steal the merchandise and was arrested and transported to the Marathon County Jail. A charge of felony retail theft is being requested through the Marathon County D.A.’s office.
