The Marshfield Police Department participated in a brief chase after a vehicle was racing on South Central Avenue.
According to a report from the Department, an officer was advised by radio that he could hear racing on South Central Ave. The officer was in that immediate area and attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle.
The vehicle ultimately did not stop and the officer lost sight of the vehicle for about 1 minute. The vehicle was located at 2215 South Maple Ave #414. A male was located a short distance away hiding in a shed.
A search warrant was obtained for a search of the shed. The male was arrested for numerous crimes and was ultimately transported to jail.
Criminal citations and a request for charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
