-Marathon County 4-H has recognized the Marathon County Public Library (MCPL) with their 2023 Friend of 4-H award.
MCPL staff member Rose DeHut received the award at a recognition celebration on October 22 in Weston. The Friend of 4-H award recognizes non 4-H volunteer or business from the community who supports 4-H for the past year.
When presenting the award, 4-H Educator Jasmine Carbajal thanked MCPL for its partnership with Marathon County 4-H, and for the resulting opportunities for 4-H members and community members.
4-H is a youth organization that belongs to the members, their families, and other interested adults who serve as volunteer leaders. 4-H programs provide youth education outreach programs by the University of Wisconsin-Extension.
Support for 4-H programs is a joint effort of local county government, the University of Wisconsin-Extension, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
