(Jamie Rokus, Marshfield News Herald) One female was killed and two males were injured in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Taylor County.
According to Jamie Rokus with the Marshfield News Herald, emergency personnel responded to a report of a one-vehicle crash with multiple injuries about 2:54 p.m. on Oriole Drive, north of Taylor County O in the town of Medford, according to a news release from the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office.
All three of the vehicle’s occupants were ejected during the crash. A female passenger died at the scene. The male driver and a male passenger were transported by ambulance and flown by helicopter to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, the news release said.
According to a preliminary investigation, the vehicle was traveling south on Oriole Drive at speeds over 100 mph when the driver lost control while crossing a bridge, the news release said.
The vehicle left the west side of the road at a high rate of speed and overturned multiple times, according to the sheriff’s department. The accident remains under investigation.
