Waste Management (WM) no longer can offer curbside collection of yard waste, brush, and branches in Marshfield due to the City eliminating this expenditure from the 2023 budget.
Residents can drop off their yard waste at the compost site, 501 South Hume Avenue, at the corner of 18th Street and Hume Avenue in Marshfield. WM does not allow tenants of apartment complexes with commercial dumpster services to utilize this service.
The compost site is open 24 hours per day, seven days a week. You can:
- Empty all paper and plastic bags to reuse;
- Drop off leaves;
- Drop of grass clippings;
- Drop off branches less than six inches in diameter;
- Need to be a City of Marshfield resident;
- Take all household garbage or bulky items to the office and drop them off for free;
- And be prepared to show proof of City of Marshfield residency and the resident must be present.
You can’t:
- Dispose of ash or coals;
- Leave paper or plastic bags;
- Drop stumps or trees larger than 6 inches of diameter;
- Drop concrete or rocks;
- Drop any household garbage;
- Loiter;
- Drop off electronics;
- And drop off any furniture.
