Market Animal Sale at Central Wisconsin State Fair Has Special Meaning This Year

The Market Animal Sale held August 23rd at the Central Wisconsin State Fair had a special meaning this year.

The money raised for a hog, donated anonymously by a family, will go to the Dennis Bangart Family. Dennis is a lender at AgCountry Farm Credit Services. He’s also a local dairy farmer, serves on the Agribusiness Committee for the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry, serves the Junior Holstein Association, involved with the Clark County Fair, and involved with the Marshfield Farm Show.

He also served as the co-chair for Wisconsin Farm Technology Days when it was Wood County. Dennis is currently battling Leukemia and is undergoing treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

After the auction for the hog was over, 28 area businesses and families came together to raise $23,500 for Dennis and his family. The businesses and families include:
