Roger P. Huber, 85, Wisconsin Rapids, passed away with his loving family at his side, on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 26th, 2023at 11:00 a.m at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Pittsville, with Fr. Nathan officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until time of services that morning. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Roger was born on January 16, 1938, in Wisconsin Rapids, to Alphonse and Harriet (Dupee) Huber and was a graduate of Maryheart Catholic High School, Pittsville. He married Rosemary E. Esser on May 2, 1959 at St. James Catholic Church in Vesper. She sadly preceded him in death October 10, 2018.
A farmer at heart, he and Rosemary started farming in 1959 shortly after their marriage. He had later worked for Dairy State Cheese for a short time. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and making maple syrup. Roger so enjoyed his garden he really had a hard time keeping his hands out of the dirt.
He is survived by his children, Paul (Roxane) Huber, Philip Huber, Lawrence Huber, Andrew (Peggy) Huber, Daniel (Sharon) Huber, Karen (Jerry) Sabin, Susan (Brian) Gabel, Edward Huber, Kenneth (Angel) Huber, Samuel Huber, Barbara Larson and Mathew (Jane) Huber. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Rosemary.
